Become a Mentor for the ISARIC Leadership Programme for Scientists

The ISARIC Leadership Programme for Scientists is a predominantly virtual course preparing mid-career researchers from LMICs to become leaders in outbreak clinical research. We are seeking 20 mentors to support these researchers in the application of their learning. The mentorship scheme will start May 2026. This call is an opportunity for senior researchers from the ISARIC network to enhance their legacy by supporting the next generation of researchers. 

Expected role:

  • Provision of at least one-hour online mentoring to the mentee per month for one year; May 2026 – May 2027
  •  If the mentee is involved in an outbreak research response during that time, please be ready to support them through that

We’d love to hear from you if you:

  • Are keen to mentor and ideally, have mentored in the past (even informally)
  • Are a senior researcher
  • Can be available one hour per month as a minimum
  • Will share appropriate information on a mentor software platform to facilitate the mentoring

Please email isaric.mentorship@ndm.ox.ac.uk to log your interest by Monday 30 June 2025. You will then be sent a survey to collect basic information that could help us to match you with a mentee.
