Gail is responsible for building research preparedness capacity through the development and implementation of training activities, membership engagement, managing the ISARIC Career Development Fellowships, and running study activation exercises. Gail is the Chair of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN), and was Deputy Chair from 2018-2022.
Gail also serves as the Scientific Manager for the Secretariat of the Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness (GloPID-R). The GloPID-R Secretariat has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme under grant agreement No. 643434.
