H5Nx

Due to H5N1 infections in humans and its increasing circulation in mammals, ISARIC, along with global experts, has developed tailored tools to strengthen evidence generation for emerging outbreaks and address the most critical clinical questions for healthcare providers and policymakers.

H5Nx Clinical Characterisation Protocol

The ISARIC-WHO Clinical Characterisation Protocol (CCP) is designed to accelerate a research response to any severe or potentially severe acute infection of public health interest. The protocol and case report form enable data and biological samples to be collected rapidly, in a globally-harmonised manner. All institutions planning to collect detailed clinical data and/or samples to characterise H5Nx cases are invited to adapt and/or implement these resources at their sites.
